How to Draw an Anime Guy's face

People kept on sending me requests on how to draw a proper guy's face from those anime shows. So here's a simple yet basic tutorial on how to draw one. 

 

STEP 1

Decide on how do you want your character to pose. I just simply did a rough sketch of mine, with his head facing to the back. 

After that, draw an oval for the head and a guide line across the face for later use. It actually depends on your use of style of drawing. Try practicing and use different types of shapes on a piece of paper to which you want to apply on a character. 

  

STEP 2

Then draw the basic facial features on the head. 

There's different types of facial features you can apply on a character, from what shape you want the ears to look like to the chin. Pointed? Rounded? Chipped?

 

STEP 3

 

 

Use the guide lines to draw the eyes. Just draw a rough sketch will do, there's no need to draw it perfectly. We will be right on it for the finishing touches later. For now, focus on the proportions of the facial features.

STEP 4

Draw the mouth.

STEP 5

Then start giving shape to the face.

STEP 6

Draw your preferred hair style on.

 

STEP 7

 

Draw a rough sketch on how your character you want to look like.

In this case, my character is a cold and calm type.

STEP 8

 

Draw on the eyes, brows, nose and the mouth.

 

STEP 9

 

Draw on the curls and strains of hair.

Continue drawing the face in detail, like wrinkles or scars.

STEP 10

Then draw the clothes on.

Remember, always draw the characters nude first, clothes later. This will help you to draw the clothes on matching the proportions of the body. Don't forget the creases on the clothes to make it look natural.

 

STEP 11

Then, the finishing touches...

 

YAY!! ALL DONE!
